END OF PDP IN PLATEAU STATE.
PDP: REST IN PEACE.
What is funny and sympathizing is the way some so -called leaders of the PDP are unconscionably telling their worshipful supporters that their party is not certified death politically on the Plateau.
Annoyingly, the Court Appeal which is herein referred to as the 'Doctor' has confirmed that the PDP was not alive since September 2021, to have even participated in the last general elections, yet the leaders are still saying many things to the contrary.
In what looks like an autopsy report by the 'Doctor', PDP 's death was as a result of lack of structure to allow it survive and compete in the political space on the Plateau.
It therefore follows, that since then, what ever transpired and also involved the PDP, amounted to playing as well as competing with nothing, resulting to nothing.
Therefore, PDP leader's sophistry in respect of the Court Appeal judgement is very pathetic and wicked, since the decision is unambiguous and instructive.
A cursory glance of today's judgement, shows that the Court of Appeal affirmed it's earlier decision in Alkali Vs Agah, in which it held that the PDP has no structure to have contested the election in the first place.
The logical effect of the judgement, is that PDP still stands disqualified from participating in the rerun election, as the party can only take part if it complies with the Kaze' case, which from all indications is impossible.
As a matter of fact to comply with the judgement in Kaze's case, the PDP will have to show evidence of it s structure and also conduct primary election to field candidates for any election.
It must be borne in mind that the ordered rerun, can only accommodate qualified candidates as of 25th of February 2023 election.
All said, having been disqualified from presenting a candidate for the February 25 election, the party CANNOT participate in the said rerun as only political parties with validly nominated candidates are eligible to take part in the ordered rerun.
Like the incoming governor of Plateau State Nentawe Yilwatda would say, 'Fear not' as the coast is clear and it is a matter of time to be in the Government House, Little Rayfield.
